The one thing that Christianity has going for it is an incredibly old, large, and financially powerful promotional instutution. Whether Catholic or Protestant, churches get lots of money donated to them, and that money is used to promote a belief system that for millions, is just fine and dandy, but in the wrong hands, is miserable. Christianity is so powerful that it's paradigms have been the norm for centuries. Artists, Scientists, Doctors, Philosophers, and freethinkers have all felt the wrath of Christianity, especially when they challenged the official church-mandated paradigms of their day. Christianity has been controlling people for so long, that most people take it and it's philosophy for granted, even though when you seriously apply logic and scientific investigation to it, it falls apart into a series of logical fallacies and assertions without proof.

I link these pages so that atheist friends of mine can find potential debate adversaries, have a laugh at some pretty lame attempts to convert people, and to show as examples of people who take Christianity too far. Enjoy.

Brice Wellington: Man of God! -- Brice Wellington is the most extreme case you will ever see of a person who has been completely lobotomized by JEE-ZUS. There ain't much on his page, which I attribute mainly to his own lack of ability to figure out how to make an HTML document (He may think that's it's Satan attacking him, knowing him!), but keep watching as he figures things out. You can find out everything you ever need to know about Brice right here in my Recreational Christianity Zone, but he claims that soon, he will present HIS side of the story. I guarantee that his side and my side won't be too far apart. He will slip himself up.
Deliverance From Demons -- "I speak directly to Satan, not bothering with any of his stooges, and cheerfully admit to all the terrible things he accuses me of. "Yes, Satan, I *am* a sinner, one of the worst!" Bill McGinnis's ministry is a completely self-referential web page that keeps linking the same documents over-and-over again. Bill is one of them Kristian Kooks who promotes the idea that the better you are at being a Christian, the more Satan tries to attack you. I've been telling these people for years that it's not Satan that's attacking them -- it's their brain telling them that they need to up the dosage on their meds.
Elijah -- Believes that an asteroid will hit the earth on March 28th, 1997, and it will destroy all life on earth, except for the 140,000 good Jehovah Witnesses, of course. Save this kook's email address and Email-bomb him on March 29th when no asteroid has hit, and ask him how he went wrong.
Eternal Life! -- This is a web page that pretty much is nothing more than the electronic version of those little tracts that most Christians hand out to you on the streets.
Images of God -- This nutcake sees Jesus, Mary, and other holy figures in the images from the Hubble Space Telescope. Yeah -- well I got a nice tortilla for you to look at if you believe that!
Lord Maitreya's Share International -- This guy claims to be the second coming of every major religious figure that people are currently waiting for. Apparently born in the Himilayas, he was a London construction worker for some time, and is now on the verge of performing a major world miracle. I'll wait until I see it. I predict that this guy will be forgotten very much like the rest of the would-be messiahs.

The Piso Family -- Can you handle THE TRUTH? I don't know if this guy is telling it, but apparently he has written a lot of material that alleges that the whole new testament is a fictional creation of a man named Arrius Piso. Who knows? Maybe he's right. Maybe he's wrong. You decide...
Prophe-Zine -- This is one of those CHristian sites that knows everything that's going to happen from now until the end of the world! Visit it often! After all, you never know if the end of the world is gonna be tomorrow.
The Publius Index -- Publius is well known for his arrogant diatribes against atheists in alt.atheism. Here is a web site devoted to exposing his ignorance, and poking fun at him. Now you can know everything you want to know about this kooky ranter.
Roses.Org -- I used to get these funny little newspapers delivered to my door, by unseen people who would canvas an entire neighborhood before the paperboys got up. The newspapers told of bizarre and frightening things, like the "Giant Computer in Brussels, Belgium" that monitored everything every person ever does. They also mentioned that a comet would hit the earth, right around the time Hale-Bopp was in the news. All sort of paranoid prophecies coming from some crazy-lady in New York named Veronica Luekin. Luekin had a special phone line to Mary, who told her all sorts of weird crap that never came true. Even though Luekin died, her followers still have a devoted cult for her, which still publishes their paranoid newspapers, and still delivers them so early in the morning that nobody ever sees them.
Son Of Man -- This kook thinks that the bumps and lines in the palm of his hand form a picture of Jesus. Subsequently, he believes that this apparition is going to usher in some spiritual ribirth or something. He even mixes some Eastern texts like the Kama Sutra with Christianity. Apparently, Jesus was preaching from it, but only he could figure that out.
The Unification Home Page -- This is the official virtual home of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, serious contender for the title of Modern Messiah. Rev. Moon is famous for his pro-Korea politicking in Washington, for his fishing and flower scams, and for conducting mass-marriage ceremonies where upwards of 700 couples get married at a time, in a sports arena. Rev. Moon thinks he is the second coming of Christ, and insists on wearing a silly Burger King hat when conducting ceremonies. Interestingly enough, on his page, you will find details about their Moonie Marriage ceremony that they never talk about in public -- how the groom and bride whack each other with baseball bats 3 times each.
Yahweh Ben Yahweh -- This guy is pretty straightforward. He claims to be no less than THE SON OF GOD, the Second coming of Christ, himself. Yahweh Ben Yahweh is not his birthname, that's for sure, and he hasn't performed any miracles to speak of, in fact, he and 16 of his followers are currently rotting in prison. Apparently, the U.S. Government put a stop to his first miracle -- He was going to perform a "miracle explosion" of a federal building, but some Judas, er... snitch, ratted on him. Yahweh Ben Yahweh is sort of like Louis Farrakhan with a messiah complex. You see, according to Yahweh Ben Yahweh, only black people can be the chosen ones and go to heaven, and white people are all evil. Oh, well... you see one messiah, you seen em' all.

Creationists

Every Creationist is a kook. Trust me on this one. I have been a member in good standing of many Creationist organizations, collecting their literature, watching them debate, and debating them myself. Their pantheon of primary writers are notoriously dishonest, consistantly misquote science literature and misrepresent scientific facts.

Answers in Genesis -- I highly recommend this site for people who want to find out just what kinds of things Creationists are saying. This page is full of quotes by prominent creationist authors, and the great thing about it from an atheistic viewpoint, is that many of the quotes can be discredited easily, and are made by frequently quoted authors. But that's not all! They blame the theory of Evolution on everything from drug abuse to criminal activity, from Nazism to school violence. Yes -- if there's anything bad, Evolution is probably to blame for it. I wonder if they blame evolution for the fact that even though there are over 500 channels on Satellite TV, there are still times when there is nothing is good on?
C.A.P.O. -- The Center for the Advancement of Paleo Orthodoxy is a born-again Christian ministry that is concerned with promoting creationism. Interestingly enough, the site is hosted and payed for by D.James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, so you know it's a front for one of his scams. Be sure to watch their Newton Institute (right off of the main page) of Science, too.
Center For Scientific Creation -- A site promoting Walter Brown's books, and asking some "questions for evolutionists", which boil down to the same dumb assertions that most creationists use in their arguments. I don't know why, but this site is so slow!
Creation/Evolution Reference Database -- Hardly a database at all. It's just a collection of text files, and you have to search through them manually. The usual, typical creationist stuff. Nothing different from the others.
Creation Research Society -- See the old farts lined up in front of their shack in the middle of nowhere, doing research that doesn't involve labs, tubes, microscopes, or a lot of intelligence for that matter. The Creation Research Society's research simply involves reading books and doing criticism of science. It's really funny, because they haven't produced and revelatory data at all. Just cranky, critical essays on how much they despise modern science.
Creation Science Home Page -- It's a load of old CRAP! Yep, more Bible-thumping zombies trying to tell us that everything we know is WRONG!
Institute For Creation Research -- Duaine Gish and Henry Morris, the founding fathers of modern "scientific creationism", founded this organization. Though both have been skewered in debates for their faulty data, inane logic, and generally poor arguments, they apparently are not aware of it. Henry Morris's boring and often silly book, "Scientific Creationism" is still a mainstay of creationists, and that book is probably the single reason that creationists always seem so lame.
Kronia: PLANETARY HISTORY / PLANETARY CATASTROPHE -- A site devoted to the quackery of IMMANUEL VELIKOVSKY, who wrote a book called "Worlds In Collision", which alleged that Saturn and Venus had both smashed into the earth, or whizzed close enough to it to cause all of the Biblical disasters in the Old Testament. Unfortunately, the theory is pieced together from obscure ancient mythologies, none of which can be substantiated. The belief in ancient myths and their scientific accuracy is what is in question. Velikovsky and his followers would have us accept ancient myths as all being based in fact, but how do you prove a myth to be fact when all you have is the myth, and no solid evidence?
ORIGINS.ORG -- Forget about any scientific evidence against evolution, or in favor of creationism. These guys (Part of Leadership University, which is an ultra-conservative fundy organization) only have philosophical arguments in favor of things like "Intelligent design" (which boils down to "if it looks designed, then it is!"). Nothing interesting here.
The Process of Evolution by Benjamin Creme -- "We are, essentially, Monads, sparks of God, demonstrating divinity at our tiny individual level..." At least that's what he thinks.
Reasons To Believe Home Page -- This is a creationist web site offering "Facts & Faith" magazine, and the virtual home of Dr. Hugh Ross, PhD. Their arguments aren't typical creationist kindergarten CRAP that you might expect. They actually wait for scientific discoveries to be fully worked out in journals before jumping the gun and making outlandish predictions. This place is actually kinda boring, as they don't get silly the way other creationists are known to.
Riley Sinder's Creationist Crapola -- Riley Sinder is the newest Kook-du-jour on talk.origins and alt.atheism. Riley is one of those people who can argue forever without actually making a point, and who never seems to answer questions about his frequent self-contradictions. He loves to invent new definitions for words, and frequently refers to his own web page as thought having his ideas on a web page makes them correct.
Scientific Proofs of God and Creation Science -- Yep, another guy who knows what the "proper role of science" is. I'll give you a hint: He doesn't think that science is for finding facts -- he believes it's for furthering the glory of God and glimpsing his infinite wisdom. So I guess all the scientists of the world are wrong, and he is right.
Ted Holden's Anti-Evolution Crap -- This guy is off the wall funny at times. He's one of those extra-smug creationists who never admits that he's wrong about anything, even when proven. He has a bunch of crackpot psuedoscience that he keeps throwing out into alt.atheism and talk.origins, instead of actually arguing anything himself. This is his site. It's boring and stupid, but it's a laugh.
Unmasking the False Religion of Evolution -- An on-line book that you can sift through, which offers all of the usual, typical, staple arguments of creationists.

Christians to laugh at

Kooky Kristians with bizarre, esoteric, or off-the-wall views that may amuse you or frighten you, depending on who you are. Each one of these pages has something on it that made me laugh, so I think there's enough reason to believe that others will get a kick out of them, too...

Aggressive Christianity Training Corps -- They're finally on line! This is the most evil, paranoid, and bizarre offshoot of Christianity. These guys dress in quasi-military uniforms, take on ranks, and follow this ugly, evil woman named Lila Greene. Booted out of several states because of their abuse towards members and children, these dangerous Christian cultists want you to become a "general for JEE-ZUS!"
The American Tract Society -- These guys make cheaper, one-page tracts sort-of like Jack Chick does, but theirs are kind of boring and have the exact same inside, while having really lousy art on the outside. Because they offer their tracts free of charge to anyone who asks, most zombified Christian "pushers" use their supply of tracts to hand out to people. When I was a subgenius, I collected their tracts and made my own parody versions of them, which I would hand out to Christians on the streets. It was good for a laugh.
Believers Information Network -- "All men who reject God are oblivious to reality! All those who seek answers outside of the Bible are getting deceived by Satan!" All people who look at this web page will see how stupid and bizarre some Christians' theology can get. These guys are off the edge into their own little world -- sort of like Brice Wellington or Publius... Is it any wonder that their initials spell out "BIN"?
Brother Jed -- Brother George "Jed" Smock is perhaps the originator of the American Phenomenon known as the Lunatic Street Preacher. Smock travels the country, screaming his fool head off in public, calling for a religious revival. He has spawned a flock of fans who, in comparison to the fanatical followers of the Grateful Dead, call themselves 'Jed-Heads'. Jed preaches what is known as "confrontational evangelism", which is essentially an angry "in your face" form of evangelism, where being a rude, arrogant S.O.B is all part of the plan. Brother Jed beleives that the only way to get the word of God out in this modern age, is to get out into people's faces and scream it at them! Some would argue that he's full of the spirit when preaching in his mannic way, but I think we all know what he's really full of!
C.A.P. Alert -- So you wanna be sure that the movie you take the family to this weekend won't turn your kids into rabid Satan-worshippers, eh? Well, this site offers modern movie reviews from a whacked-out born-again perspective. They even invented their own system for judging, known as "W.I.S.D.O.M" (Wanton violence, Impudence/hate, Sex/homosexuality, Drugs/alcohol, Offense to God, Murder/suicide). CAP (Childcare Action Project) has thoroughly ..."observed our culture and society for examples of unacceptable activities and behavior -- unacceptable in accordance with the teachings of Jesus -- examples of activities and behavior which are potentially destructive to wholesome morals, values, and principles." When I read their review of South Park: Bigger, Louder, Uncut, it convinced me that I had to see it. They said ..."South Park* is an *incredibly dangerous* movie for those who do not understand or are developing an understanding of the Gospel ....... INCREDIBLY dangerous." With an opening like that, the movie has to be really good!
The Christian Boylove Forum -- Christian Boylove Forum is a support forum for Christians who are boylovers. Yes, this has to be too horrifying to be true, but you never know. Some satires are so good that they fool even true believers. But reading through the FAQ file almost had me convinced that they are for real. But you never know...
Chick Publications Homepage -- This is the REAL THING, not the parody that has become a web-legend. Read their comic of the month. For Halloween, they had this sappy comic about a kid who got run over by a car after indulging in Halloween activities (which apparently good Christians are condemned to hell for doing!), and goes to HELL! Jack Chick's comics are all sappy, stupid, and extreme, which makes them the hilarious unintentionally funny things they are.
Citizens For The Ten Commendments -- "...The House of Representatives supported the presence of the Ten Commandments in public schools. Critics say that the Ten Commandments are unconstitutional. Is it unconstitutional to place morality in schools? The answer to this question is yes. That's why I despise the devil's USA constitution. The USA constitution is America's worse plague." Yep, These Bible-thumping hard-liners hate the constitution, and don't seem to think much about freedom of religion, either. They're advocates of the idea that America should be run by THEIR Christian church. They also claim to know all the dirty secrets about atheism -- like the fact that all Atheists secretly worship Satan, and that we are willingly ignoring the reality that Bozos like the people on this site are vastly superior intellects.
Christian Answers.Net -- This place is a good example of Stupid christians trying to sound intellectual and failing miserably. Check out their page on creation/evolution or the politics/government page. Their answers will stun you with their shallowness.
Christian Cowboys and Friends -- A Ministry of Christian cowboys, who hold rodeos. I thought Captain Hook was weird! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw!!
Christian Rationalism -- "Christian Rationalism deals with Physical and Psychic Phenomena, Reincarnation, Incorporeal Life, Space and the Universe, the Power of Thought, Free Will, Mediumnity, Evolution, Gods and Religions, Force and Matter, the Aura, Ethics, Psychic Support and Recovery, Psychic Cleansing, Family and Children, etc." In other words, these guys believe EVERYTHING, and try to fit all weird phenomena, science, nonsense, and strange phenomena into a Christian context. Essentially, these people are spiritualists, born of the 19th century spiritualist movement, influenced possibly by Christian Science (Mary Bakker Eddy), and still trying to believe everything that intelligent people know is bunk.
Christian Research Institute -- These guys put out lots of literature on creationism and apologetics. I particularly enjoy the way they gloss over their mistakes in research.
Satanic Media Influences -- This is the new home of Church Of The Mighty Lamb, From Cottonwood, Arizona, will train you for fighting Armageddon! These are the people responsible for "Sporks Promote Transexualism", "Star Trek Is Satanic", and "My Little Pony Is A HARLOT".
The Cutting Edge -- Oooooooh! These people are out to scare everyone! Call this page to find out about all of the evil plans that "The New World Order" has in store for us. Find out about the Masons. Find out about all sorts of things that you simply MUST be frightened of. The only thing that frightens me about this place is that these weirdos actually believe this shit.
Dr. Gene Scott -- A lot of people ask me "Who is Dr. Gene Scott?", but I usually tell them that the proper question to ask is "WHAT is Dr. Gene Scott?" I am still puzzled by this enigma of kooky Kristian broadcasting. Dr. Gene Scott is SO WEIRD, that it's difficult to tell if he is genuine, or if he is a parody of TV Evangelists. Gene Scott is so entertaining because of his odd behavior. He has lectures on topics like "Amalek Happens", where he reads how the Amalekites were considered lower than excrement to the Hebrews, hence the borrowing of the popular phrase "Shit Happens". The guy even sold T-shirts with "Amalek Happens!" on them. He broadcast a program with a theme song entitled "Kill Some Piss-Ant for Jesus", and paces back and forth on his stage wearing a pair of sunglasses over his bifocals. He's a real character!
The E.D.G.E. Online -- The E.D.G.E. stands for the End-times Discussion Group Exchange, and is the place where paranoid whacky Christians on the net go to bleed their spleens about the end of the world, the antichrist, armageddon, and wether UFO-aliens are angels or demons! There doesn't seem to be a topic that's not serious enough for these people!
Eternal Warriors -- Afraid that your kids are getting influenced by those satanic, evil, violent video games like Doom and Quake? Well, fear no more, Christian parents, for your salvation is here at last! "...THE WAR IN HEAVEN is a 3D action game that combines fast-paced combat action with uncompromising Christian values. Designed and produced by two professional game developers who openly acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, The War In Heaven was created to provide an exciting alternative to the spiritually dark and blood-drenched games that are so popular today among teenage and adult gamers..." Yep. To make the action even more faced-paced and difficult, they programmed a few bugs into the user-interface, that make you spin around when you press the fire-button. The "uncompromizing Christian values" of the game come into play when you finish a level -- You read a verse from the Bible and get a power-up. Wow! They made the action more realistic by having heaven be a huge expanse of block-walls with hardly any enemies in it at all. Of course, you fight with a sword, but there's no blood -- nope, enemies just go "poof". They won't need some wild "anti-Christian-bias" conspiracy theories to explain why this game isn't flying off of store shelves, or even available near you. The game bites the big one, plain and simple.
Fellowship Of Christian Athletes -- If you're sick and tired musclebound morons claiming that Jesus helped them throw that "Hail Mary" pass, or hit that home run (like the training and coaching had nothing to do with it), then stay away from this place. These guys have a special place called "the locker room"...
The Force = Satan -- Bizarre page which purports that "R2-D2 is the mute false god Baal who children are told is "cool". Is it so cool when God strikes you down where you stand? I don't think so! He shall SMITE those who worship the Force. No Ewoks will deliver you then- only JESUS." In other words, these people are totally insane!
GOD HATES FAGS! -- Rev. Fed Phelps, the most hated man in Topeka Kansas (and other places, too!) made national headlines when he and his followers showed up at lots of parades and social events with their signs -- signs with wondeful, loving captions like "AIDS CURES FAGS, THANK GOD FOR AIDS", "FAGS BURN IN HELL", "NO TEARS FOR QUEERS", and other wonderful messages. Phelps made bigger headlines when he started using his fax machine to fax-bomb city offices with slanderous, harrassing faxes, some of his opponents got over 200 disturbing faxes from him a day. Now his church has a computer, with an internet hook up. You can just imagine what he'll do now! This page really belongs in the "Hate" section of my page. Be warned -- if you die of laughter after seeing this page, don't come crying to me!
HELL HOUSE -- Ever meet those born-agains who bitch and whine about how Halloween is "a satanic holiday", and that trick-or-treating is devil worship? Well, Hell House is the Christian answer to haunted houses. You go in and see several scenes depicting the Death of a Homosexual from AIDS, an abortion, a drunk driving accident, a drug-party, and finally, heaven and hell. It's sort of a live-action Chick Tract! Basically, you go to get preached to -- they figure that going to this thing will scare people into converting... unless they laugh at it, of course.

Into the Wardrobe: The C.S. Lewis WWW site -- C.S. Lewis is the most over-rated Christian Scholar of the century. His childish fantasy series of Narnia books, which are full of clues to his latent pedophile tendencies, are worshipped by the lamest groups of fnaboys I have ever seen. His greatest scholarly works, such as "Mere Christianity" and "Answers", are chock-full of faulty logic lame reasoning. If anything, this site should serve as a starting point for grabbing quotations from him to do some critical essays on his psuedo-intellectual arguments.
MISSIONARY SERVANTS OF HOLY LOVE -- This is another one of those weird extremely catholic sites about some kook who gets messages beamed into her skull from the virgin Mary. Have you ever got up early on Sunday Morning, to find a weird newspaper about messages from Mary, on your doorstep? These people are most likely responsible.
Mormon Home Page -- The official under-construction web site for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. Yes, folks, this is not an ordinary cult of Christianity. The Mormons believe in a theology that sounds like the background story for Battlestar Galactica (Glenn Larson was a Mormon), and believe that wearing funky outdated 19th century underwear will protect them from evil. Though they like to portray themselves as good, wholesome "American Family" types, they really are a bizarre lot.
My Little Pony Is A HARLOT! -- You thought it was just a cute, plastic little toy horse with hair for your little girl to style -- BUT NO! It's actually a tool of the devil, used to teach our children to be "WHORES, SINNERS, and LUSTY WENCHES! "
The New World Order Intelligence Update -- A paranoid site about how absolutely everything that goes on in the world is a sign of the "New World Order" as prophecied in the Bible.
One Vision -- They have nothing to do with the song by Queen, but they sell lots of Christian books.
Overcoming Masturbation -- Some bizarre Christian wrote this article on how to stop masturbating. It promotes many of the same bizarre notions that Brice Wellington claims, such as the myths about it making you blind, insane, or damaging your health. This hilarious article tells you that prayer is the only way to stop it.
The Peacock -- The Hottest News Since World War 2! Or so it may seem. This page promotes all of the Christian Urban Legends that most of the really kooky Kristians believe. My personal favorite is the one about the "Beast" computer system -- a powerful self-programming computer in Brussels, Belgium that knows everything about everyone on earth.
The Power Team -- "...These giant men, many weighing over 300 pounds, can blow up hot water bottles, snap baseball bats like twigs, crush through ice with their heads..." yes, and one wonders what breaking through blocks of ice with one's head does to one's brain! Look out Arnold, Here comes beefcakes for Jesus! Musclebound freaks who look like refugees from the WWF will come to your town with their bulging muscles, and tell your kids how Jesus gives them superhuman strength. See them rip phone books in half, or break the chains off of handcuffs, and perform other feats of strength. Of course, we all know that the same kinds of feats can be performed without being a Jesus freak, but well, telling these guys that would be like telling Samson that his hair had nothing to do with his strength.
The Rapture Index -- Check out the esoteric and bizarre Rapture page of this Christian weirdo. He's trully paranoid, but it's kinda scary, because he's totally serious about it. Everything that we like, as Americans, is a sign of the coming rapture and tribulation -- even dirty words in movies. I'm sure he counts them all whenever he goes to the movies...
Robert Tilton's Success In Life -- Bob Tilton has always been a favorite televangelist of mine, and aparently most other people who are into Recreational Christianity. Unfortunately, the website is so lame that it doesn't even meet my expectations for a lame website. All you will find is the address of his ministry and it's phone number. No graphics. No other pages. Maybe it's still too new a page, and they will add something later. Who knows.

Sherrie Elijah -- Sherrie Elijah is one of those big-haired Bible-bimbos who has a personal intercom with the almighty himself. She's an aspiring musician, and you can hear her song "Citizen in Hell", in real audio, which she gives a full five minutes of warnings for before she sings it -- if you call it singing, that is. I'll tell you, friends, that after hearing the whole 15 minutes of this song, that I was more scared of Sherrie than I was of going to Hell! Alpha Omega Ministries -- These guys are born-again fundies who even think that CATHOLICS aren't christians! Very divisive, and taking some contraversial stances, these guys are very typical of the religious far right.
Benny Hinn Online Ministry -- I like to call him "Benny the Blow-job" because of his habit of blowing on people during healing services, who then swoon backwards in an enraptured state. Benny has been in some trouble with the law on occaision. Apparently, his finances are pretty much the same as Robert Tilton's -- crooked.
Bob Enyart -- Bob Enyart is an ultra-conservative Christian radio talk-show host who believes that America needs to go back to the laws of Leviticus. Bob has openly stated on the air that in his ideal government for America, Homosexuals would be put to death, Adulterers would be put to death, and atheists would be put to death. Bob also runs a website called ShadowGov, which is a board promoting his views, and running a fantasy-government (sort of like Fantasy Football). Yep, Bob is such a crazy nut-job that his radio program regularly draws bigger audiences than Tom Snyder, PBS, and other competition. I attribute his ratings to pure SHOCK VALUE, rather than to people who actually think he's right. Like Bob Larson, Bob Enyart is on the lunatic fringe of the lunatic Fringe.
Bob Jones University -- This is the college that fundy parents send their kids to when they want them to grow up to be upstanding young drones for Jee-Zus. Yes, believe it or not, Bob Jones University is famous for rousing it's students to applaud the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. But that's not all they're famous for. Apparently, they have the strictest, most anal-retentive rules on dating ever! First of all, students are not allowed to date or marry outside of their race. Second of all, couples are not allowed any physical contact at all -- this includes kissing, hugging, and holding hands. Not only is physical contact not permitted, but students must have chaperones on dates! Yes, apparently, such physical contact is known to lead to things like pregnancy or even poor grades. Thirdly, students cannot go to movie theaters! If that isn't enough, they have television sets in the dorm rooms that are permanently tuned to Bob Jones University's closed-circuit network, and the sets have all of their knobs removed so that students can't have their fragile little minds "infected" by them darn liberal commercial stations! Sounds like Bob Jones learned a few lessons from George Orwell!

He soon developed a large following, but most of the people listening (and calling) were non-Christians who were amused at his extreme weirdness and predictable assholishness. Kennedy has one of the most politically active churches in the country, and distributes petitions on dozens of subjects each year. Part of the evil Christian Coalition, Kennedy has been on the Creationism, School Prayer, Anti-Abortion, and "America is a Christian Nation" bandwagons for years. Kennedy's church also pumps out lots of videotape propaganda on all of the hot-button issues. I particularly enjoy his rants about Creationism.

Focus On The Family -- Doctor James Dobson's ministry is famous for getting lots of psychotics and serial killers to admit that they were influenced by pornography, comic books, D&D games, or whatever he happens to want to blame at the time. Thomas Road Baptist Church -- Home of the king of evil Televangelists himself, Jerry Falwell! Jerry Falwell is one of the best examples of evil Christian televangelists ever. He went to South Africa during Apartheid to do "fact-finding", which ammounted to calling all the black anti-apartheid leader commies and phonies (including Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu), and painting P.W. Botha as a red-white-and-blue God-fearing nice guy. Falwell also has some of the most horrendous examples of deceptive fund raising ever. He sent out a letter to everyone on his mailing list once, which looked as though it were hand-written, complete with crossed-out mistakes, claiming that homosexuals had attacked his ministry so bad that he had to "write this note to you by hand" because they couldn't afford to rent computer time to do it. Really? THen what are the perforations on the edges, and why do all 4 copies I have look identical? Looks like they used a computer and a fancy ink-jet printer! Hehehehe!
Trinity Broadcasting network -- Trinity Broadcasting is the home of all of the dysfunctional televangelical step-children of the airwaves. This is where scandal-plagued, money-grubbing, bad-boy religious nuts go when CBN and other more legitimate religious broadcasters kick them off of their airwaves. Trinity will broadcast ANYTHING. They have Robert Tilton, Tammy Bakker, Benny Hinn, V.W. Grant and Bob Larson. Oh, and I should also note that they were the network I watched Captain Hook on before he walked the final plank to eternity....

Feminists for Life -- Yeah, right! This organization has little to do with feminism, and a lot to do with pushing the Christian Coalition's party-line against abortion. They use all of the familiar buzzwords like "patriarchy" and "Male opression", but when it comes down to the bottom line, they are born-again Christians who think that women should stay home with the kids and cook and clean.
Life Enterprises Unlimited -- Well, they've got a lot of pro-life material, but they aren't just your average Catholic pro-life nasties. No, no, no.. These people are also advocates of keeping women in their place. They advocate the idea that Women should not be alowed to manage businesses or teach in school. According to them, "Past the age of reason males and females should be in separated into different classrooms. This would allow both groups to more fully develop their potential. At around the age of twelve/fourteen it would be preferable --because of the growing influence of hormones in their lives-- to separate them into different schools."
The National Right To Life Committee -- The most evil organization of ultra-right-wing pro-life propaganda in the country. I love watching their spin on news stories that have been done about them. Apparently their latest gripe is with 60 minutes, who broadcast a piece on "partial birth abortions", which made them look bad. Well, if the NRLC gave them the information that they promised, instead of stonewalling, they wouldn't have much to complain about, would they?
Operation Rescue National -- Randal Terry's nasty pro-life organization, which blames everything from school violence to rape to homosexuality on the availability of abortion. Randall Terry openly advocates the use of harrassment and vandalism in the fight against abortion. His organization actually promoted a campaign where members would follow "abortionist" doctors and even their family members home from work or school, harrassing them all the way to their doorstep. Needless to say, Randall Terry doesn't see any problem with such intimidation, even when people leave death threats on answering machines.
Planned Murderhood -- Rev. Neal Horsley of the Creator's Rights Party Strikes Again! Planned Murderhood is a Truthified version of Planned Parenthood. The page boldly declares "Anyone promoting the slaughter of American Children is NO American and NO Christian, but simply an enemy of God, of the United States of America, and an enemy of mine." So you know, one fun thing you can do is write to them and tell them how much you like to promote the slaughter of American Children. Neal Horsley is second only to Fred Phelps when it comes to making completely tasteless Fundamentalist propaganda. Prolife, Virginia -- Also known as "The Army Of God", this is **THE** website in the news today. They posted the names and addresses of abortion doctors, judges, lawyers, politicians, and anyone else who they don't like, before the FBI made them take it down. Several recent killings have been linked to their list. They have actually congratulated the murders of abortion doctors. On their contraversial hit-list, they crossed-out the names of the people who got killed. Even more astonishing was the section that allowed you to confess your abortionist activity to them, so they might add you to their hit-list! Rev Donald Spitz runs this site, and is probably going to be in the news within the next few years for committing a murder or bombing against abortion providers. Check out the Army of God Manual, an angry diatribe that promotes and details various acts of vandalism and mayhem one can conduct against abortion providers. The American Family Association -- You thought the Christian coalition and the 700 club were evil, just look at these ASSHOLES! These are the jerks who got my favorite toy, The Talking Freddy Krueger Doll, taken off the market! They also fight to get unchristian TV shows taken off the airwaves by dubbing them unwholesome or by accusing shows like "He-Man and the Masters Of the Universe" of introducing Satanism to children. Barna Research Online -- Barna Research is a Christian research organization which pissed off a good many of their fellow evangelicals a while back when they published the frighteningly honest "Christian Book Of Lists" which had statistics on spousal abuse, alcoholism, poverty, education, and other topics in which the religious denomination was taken into account. What alarmed many Fundamentalist Evangelicals about the book was that statistically, Christian Fundamentalists tended to be more poverty-ridden, have less education, have more alcoholism, spousal abuse, and other problems. You see, Fundies constantly make bold claims about the improvements that their faith makes on people, and Barna crushed that myth by impeccable statistics which showed that the opposite was the case.

Yes, if your kids are addicted to drugs, Teen Challenge will help them by addicting them to Jesus and Whacked Fundy worship services. Teen Challenge knows why kids are addicted to drugs and alcohol -- It's SIN, SIN, SIN!!!! Who cares if their parents were alcoholics and beat each other up (and their kids) all the time. If you're addicted to anything, it's all your own fault, and the only way to cure you is to submit your will to JEE-ZUS, join one of Teen Challenge's churches, and become a Whacked-out Fundy Evangelical. Does it REALLY cure addiction, or is all they are doing is trading chemical addiction for emotional addiction to religion?
Traditional Values Coalition -- "help to stop the all-out assault on Christians being waged by our government, by America's educational institutions, by the media and throughout our popular culture." Yes, this is yet another kooky fundamentalist fright-site, proclaiming that Christians are under attack in America, and that their rights are being violated left and right, but mostly on the left. They claim that since 1962 (When school prayer "was made a crime"), The violent crime rate has increased 550%, Births to unwed mothers are up 500%, The teenage suicide rate has tripled, The divorce rate is up 350%. Rather than blame these things on the cheapness and availability of guns and drugs, the sexual liberation of the 1960's, or changing cultural mores, they blame it all on the fact that mandatory, compulsory prayer was removed from Public schools. Heck, I've seen similar fundamentalist freaks blame those things on comic books, television, evolution, and even Pokemon. Anyway, this billious, anal-retentive, and sanctimonious group of old farts who know better than you is a good laugh. They ask for donation, so send them donations of questionable material, like your pet dog's last bowel movement of the latest centerfold from Juggs magazine.
The Truth -- Should be more aptly named "The boring psuedointellectual Christian Propaganda Masquerading as Science Journal. Need I say more?
Watchtower: The Official Website of Jehovah's Witnesses -- Yes, those annoying people who go door-to-door on Easter, Christmas, and the 4th of July. I love it when they come to the door, and I come out with red-devil makeup and prosthetic horns on, and my imitation of Laibach's lead singer. "Who dares disturb the lord of darkness from watching Oprah?!" I shout... Do that once, and I guarantee you that you will never be visited again.
The WINDS (World Internet News Distributory Service) -- Sounds like an innocuous news organization, but in reality, it's an ultra-right-wing fundy evanglical paranoid news agency that promotes such mainstream ideas as "The American Education System is a CULT", "The U.S. Presecutes Christians" and other standard "New World Order" paranoia.
World Magazine -- This is a publication of the far religious right, which is basically a standard liberal-bashing, conspiracy-mongering, God-only-likes-conservative-republicans magazine. Hell, Gary "I am not a hypocrite" Bauer, Cal "I am not insane" Thomas, Larry "The end of the world is Nigh" Burkette, and a host of other right wing fring characters all think it's cool, so you know what kind of magazine it is...
The World-Wide Church Of God -- Founded by Herbert W. Armstrong about a million years ago (Armstrong was a real fossil when he diedabout 10 years ago, and continued to show up on their TV show right till the very end), the World-Wide Church Of God is a bizarre offshoot of Seventh-day adventism which promotes the notion that America **IS** the new Israel prophecied in the Bible. These guys have a chronology that is closer to that of the Jehovah's Witnesses, claiming that the modern end-times started in 1914. Armstrong wrote virtually all of their literature, which they still offer on their page. A subscription to their magazine, The Plain Truth, has always been free -- and why not get a free subscription to it, so they can waste their money on your entertainment!

Misc. Evil Christians

The American Guardian -- Simply one of the most homophobic, senseless, and disgustingly one-sided diatribes you can find on the net. The site claims to be "An educational resource on Homosexual Behavior", but in reality, it's only the most extreme and deceitful facts that they could come up with. For example, they point out several serial killers who were homosexuals, while ignoring the fact that the vast majority (like Richard Speck, Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, Ed Gein) were heterosexual. At one point, they showed images from Dan's Gallery Of The Grotesque's infamous "Natural Born Losers" exhibit, and claimed that the images were of a homosexual mutilating a corpse! Other wonderful "TRUTHS" on this site seem to proclaim that all homosexuals are disease-infested, violent, criminal, child-molesting murderers. Such a compassionate, intelligent message for Christians to follow!
Apologia -- Well, it is scholarly, but very sparsely so. These guys quickly and hastily erected this site in response to the Secular Web's "The Jury Is In" critique of Josh McDowell's popular apologetics. Their haste shows. They haven't got a single article that rebuts anything on the secular web. In fact, half of the stuff on their page is non-existant -- just a few titles that they eventually hope to link to something. What's really there is just a few standard philosophical arguments, and a search database for apologetic questions and answers, many of which are standard and patented.
The Bruderhof -- Remember the Heaven's Gate Cult? Well, this is another cult that we should keep an eye on. The Bruderhof is another amish/menonite style commune where the followers practice an isolationist form of Christianity, all dress in 19th century farmer's clothes (all plaid with overalls). The cult is incredibly strict, and practices shunning of anyone who transgresses the sacred laws of the cult. As I said, this is a cult to watch -- they may not have a cache of weapons, or a suicide plan, but they have been involved in several incidents where former members are forbidden to contact family members still in the cult and vice versa.
CITIZEN IMPACT COALITION -- The CIC is a Canadian Christian political organization very similar to the evil Christian Coalition right here in the USA. They are dedicated to all that "traditional familiy values" bullshit, and have nasty things to say about gay people every time homosexuals and lesbians fight for an end to official discrimination.
Free Zone -- An organization of former scientologists who feel that the actual church has strayed from it's original intent. Gee -- you mean the original intent WASN'T to bilk gullible yuppies out of all of their money???
Pat Buchanan's Internet Campaign Headquarters -- Pat Buchanan is the greatest motherfucking asshole of a man ever to run for president. An antisemetic with racist and sexist tendencies, Pat thinks that there is a holy war going on in America, and that Christians are treated like second-class citizens. Yep... Good Ol' Pat would love to see women banned from the workforce, abortion outlawed, and prayer back in school. With a platform like that, he'll need a fucking miracle from God to get elected...

STRAIGHT stands for "The Society To Remove All Immoral Godless Homosexual Trash", and is one of the most extreme homophobic organizations you'll find. According to them, Homosexual behavior should be outlawed and punished by death!
Straightnews -- This is one of those Christian places that claims it can turn gay people into straight people. Of course, they've never published their success statistics (because it really and trully sucks), but they keep claiming that their program is successful (Yeah, if you keep repeating it, it'll make it true!). According to their website, gayness in men is caused by "Emotionally distant or cruel father... Overly cold or warm relationship with mother... Unathletic, perhaps both attracted and disgusted by the rough and tumble play of other boys their age..." Gee, I never knew that being unathletic and having rough tumbles with other boys during play can make you gay! Well, then, that settles it. We have to keep kids from touching each other when they play!
Tekton Apologetics Ministries -- This is simply one of the most arrogant and snobby Christian apologetics sites. It's run by a guy named James Patrick Holding, whose use of ad Hominem seems to be the most prominant tactic. He's locked antlers with some of the guys at Internet Infidels over their criticism of Josh McDowell's book. It's hilarious when you read the feedback, because Holding spends far more time belittling his critics than he does effectively attacking their arguments.
The Watchtower Observer -- is a great journal that digs up the dirt on the Jehovah's Witnesses, and is currently involved in a legal dispute similar to what the Church Of Scientology has done to supress internal information that it doesn't want outsiders to know. Read about their sinister and hypocritical "Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock" book, which only elders are allowed to see.
The World Wide Christian Web (TM) Home Page This is Mark Harpt's web site. Mark is an intellectual wannabe who has earned a reputation for himself in alt.atheism as one of it's net-kooks. His site is a weird mixture of high-end web page design and layout, combined with nasty Christian-right and fascist-fundy propaganda -- lots of familiar references to "liberals" and "news" that seems to be more right-wing commentary than actual information. Mark's got a lot of hubris, and occaisionally starts discussions in talk.origins and alt.atheism where he proclaims his arguments to be flawless, and whines at other participants when they point out all of the flaws.
